Adult skating is growing in popularity, providing opportunities for teenagers and adults to experience recreational skating, or to further develop their skills for Skate Canada Tests and competitive opportunities in a fun environment.
RHFSC is one of the few skating clubs that offers both CanSkate and STARSkate programs for teenageres and adults.
This program is suitable for beginners, as well as for those wishing to improve their skating skills. This program teaches basic skating skills in a group format and in 6 stages. Lessons are taught by our NCCP Certified Professional Coaches.

A CSA-approved hockey helmet is mandatory. Bike or ski helmets are not permitted. No exceptions.
This program further develops figure skating skills and techniques for competitions and Skate Canada Tests. A 15-minute group Stroking lesson is provided during some sessions. Some of the sessions may be combined with Novice/ Senior STARSkate.
Skaters must be 16 years of age or above when skating season starts and must have passed all areas of STARSkate 1 to qualify. Off-Ice classes, private lessons and Skate Canada Tests are optional.
